What this list does not say
- A layer covering a nation is not the same as a national dataset. Several Scottish layers are amalgamations of voluntary council submissions; where the council covering a site supplies nothing, the tool says so by name and marks the result partial rather than clear.
- Digitisation varies by authority.Some designations — certain tree preservation orders and Article 4 directions in particular — are not published nationally and will not appear even where they exist on the ground.
- This is screening, not a search. It is not an LLC1, not a CON29, and not a designation decision. For a regulated decision, verify with the local planning authority or the data publisher.
